Search Instructions
Enter keywords in the title and author search fields, or an ISBN into the ISBN search field. To further narrow your search, select the appropriate Subject or Format (binding type) from the listed menus. The more information entered, the more precise the search results. You must place an entry into one of the first three search boxes.
Title
- Enter one or more keywords found in the title of the book in any order you wish. Use keywords only, avoiding common words such as "a", "the", or "of". Searches in the Title fields include a wildcard function (*). Enter the first few characters of a search term followed by an asterisk, and the search results will contain matches with all possible extensions to the characters entered.
Author -
Enter the author's last name and/or first name in any order you wish. Searches in the Author fields include a wildcard function (*). Enter the first few characters of a search term followed by an asterisk, and the search results will contain matches with all possible extensions to the characters entered.
ISBN -
The ISBN search is an exact search and will yield no more than one result
regardless of the entries into the other fields. The result would be the same if you simply used the main search box for ISBN searches. This search
will accept either the 10-digit or 13-digit number. Be sure to remove
all dashes from your search string and capitalize any alpha characters.
Subject
- Limit searches to only results within the subject you designate
by selecting from this drop down menu. This feature should only be used
when your primary keyword search terms yield an unmanageable result.
Binding
Type / Format - Narrow your search by indicating the title
binding type as hardcover, mass market, paperback, audiobooks, or large
print.
