Western Reserve graduate and freelance writer Mialie Szymanski will visit us for a special story time featuring her new book Doodle Dog Enjoys the Day. Doodle Dog is the star of the bi-weekly column Puppy Tails, featured in The Weekly Villager. Szymanski will be reading from her book as well as signing copies. Kids will even have a chance to create their own Doodle Dog. Join us for a pawsitively grrreat time!

Mialie T. Szymanski is a staff writer for The Weekly Villager in Garrettsville, Ohio. She is the creator of the bi-weekly children's story time column "Puppy Tails", starring Doodle Dog, a floppy-eared puppy who has an optimistic perspective of the world around him. Her picture book Doodle Dog Enjoys the Day chronicles a day in the life of this "paws"itive pup.

About Doodle Dog:
Snuggled up by a warm fireplace, a floppy-eared puppy sleeps, dreaming of the big, bright world outside. When the sun wakes him up and he shakes the night from his eyes, what fun surprises will be
waiting for him? What exciting new friends will he meet on his way? Come along with Doodle Dog as he explores a brand new day! This book combines the author's four passions: writing, animals, children, and community service. A portion of the proceeds from every Doodle Dog item will go to a local animal rescue organization.
