Author Jeff Daniels with My Brother the Boxer (Sep 30)

Local area author Jeff Daniels will be at The Learned Owl Book Shop on Saturday, September 30th, from 1 to 3. He has written a book about his brother, Terry Daniels, a successful boxer in the 1960’s. When he was 25, he got in the ring with Smokin’ Joe Frazier.

Area authors Gladys Ashenfelter and Vicky DiMichele will be at The Learned Owl Book Shop on Saturday, September 16th, from 1 to 3 p.m.

Ms. Ashenfelter is a retired high school English teacher. Her book "20 Jobs" is a memoir about the jobs she has had in her life and what she has learned from them. Her interests include researching genealogy, writing family history stories, quilting and photography. She currently writes a quilting blog and is the keeper of a thousand family memories. Her research has inspired her to write a book of family stories.

Turzillo will share tips and tricks to make research easier and more enjoyable for writers of all genres and at any stage in their writing careers. Future topics in the Writing to Publish Series will be “Editing Your Work,” “Writing for Children” and “Social Media Platforms for Writers.”
