Author Paul Watson with Ice Ghosts (March 28)
Join Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Paul Watson as he discusses the mystery behind an 1845 shipwreck and its recent discovery as chronicled in his latest book, Ice Ghosts: The Epic Hunt for the Lost Franklin Expedition. Watson, who himself was on the icebreaker that led the discovery expedition in 2014, will tell the fascinating true story of Sir John Franklin and his crew who set off in search of the fabled Northwest Passage and were forced to abandon ship. Booklist calls the book, “Riveting. . . . An engrossing chronicle of a legendary doomed naval voyage and the nearly 200-year effort to bring the Franklin Expedition to a close.”
Watson is the author of Where War Lives and the recipient of the Pulitzer Prize, the National Headliner Award, the George Polk Award and the Robert Capa Gold Medal.
